1.16 - The Nether Update

For many, the piece de resistance (so far) of Minecraft's newer style of updates is the Nether update. Overhauling not just a whole biome, but an entire dimension.

Mojang went creating, changing the face of the fiery dimension forever, adding new mobs like hoglins, striders, piglins, and zoglins across five new biomes.

Blackstone, ancient debris, and respawn anchors were introduced, and Netherite tools and gear made their grand debut. As well as a new form of trading, the bop that is Pigstep, an upgrade to diamonds, and so much more.
